July 2, 2005 journal, imminent domain and no higher calling than serving your country to quote one who got special treatment.  This sounds like the Moslems in suicide missions. To join this army is like volunteering to die for corporate America and for invisible Israel.

In cutting through deranged history I see the light on many things but daily I am amazed at how other people see important developments that affect our future dramatically.   I have tried hard to stop writing but feel I must report most important messages rather than hide my head in the sand.  None is more accurately written than the lead article this week in the Times Examiner by Bob Dill of the recent Supreme Court decision on declaring eminent domain. Did the president also promise them 70 virgins if they die a martyr's death in war?

Fear has gripped the nation that anyone could lose their property to a greedy city or state.

The best description is by Bob Dill calling it "Legalized Tyranny".   "With the stroke of a pen, five members of the U.S. Supreme Court signed the death certificate for the great American middle class that has been the envy of the world.  The beneficiaries are the em- powered "ruling elite" who will raise to become the modern-day slave masters as America becomes a third rate state under global governance.  Government entities can, under the recent Supreme Court ruling, take your home, business or other property for virtually any reason, not just for use by the government, but for the use of someone else with more in-fluence in the mayor's office or council chambers.  The definition of tyranny is: "Unjust use of absolute government power".  The taking of a citizen’s home and privately-owned bus-iness property without his consent certainly fits this definition.  And Justice Sandra Day O'Connor was right when she said "fallout from the decision will not be random".  It will be as she concluded in her written dissent.  This tyranny will benefit those "with dispro-portionate influence and power in the political process, including large corporations and development firms".  No longer will Mayor White and other Greenville city officials have to dredge up legal justification for taking the property of three business owners on South Main Street. They are off the hook.  With this court decision safety, "use for the common good", etc. is not necessary.  This decision allows property to be taken just because the city wants to take it from the current owners for the benefit of a developer who is favored by the city leaders.  The 5th amendment to the U.S. Constitution states in part that- "No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty or property, without the due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."  This decision literally "trashes" the constitutional guarantee of property ownership.  In my view, there is no "just compensation" for a home taken from a family that does not to sell.  Without the right to own property, there is no freedom, there is not even freedom of speech.  If you own property and say something government leaders don't like, they can punish you by taking your property.  We have witnessed this to a degree.  It was made clear to Billy Mitchell that his candidacy for mayor of Greenville resulted in the city treating him worse than property owners who "played ball" with the city.  And that was before the court decision.  This court ruling opens the doors to abuse by public officials who are unethical, greedy and drunk with power.  If not overcome, by the United States Congress and state lawmakers, it could become the spark that lights rebellion and anarchy.  The Institute for Justice says more than 10,000 private properties have been threatened or condemned in recent years.  Decisive action by lawmakers at the federal and state levels are unlikely, because the powerful have their way with mayors or city council members also effectively lobby lawmakers.  The 10 Commandments are out and legal abuse of power is in”. cont.
